Differnces between both couldn't be notice easily from the first look, but when you take a closer look to any printed material or a large sacale printed ad defentally you'll find differences between both.
Raster images or any bitmaps working with a pixel concent, this pixel is a very samll unit of color in the image, mixing the pixel with other giving us a full colored picture, you can't see this pixel till you make a zoom in to the picture.
To edit this image you need an image processin application like Photoshop, this application is designed to understand the pixel concept and makes the ncessary processing and editing, zooming in or resizing the picture will effect the quality of the picture, so you have to keep the picture in good resolution to keep the printing quality good.
Vector graphics is different, there is no pixels here, it works with a path or object concept, zooming in will keep the graphic with the same quality, vector gaphics used to make a line art and illustration work, resizing or printing large scale work will not effect the file quality, the result always high quality with a small file size.

Start with using "Basic Shapes" tool in the tools bar in the left, change the shape to the second one, go to the page and draw a shape with 1.4" , 1.65" dimanstions.
Press (F10) to convert to the "Shape Tool" and move the red point in the shape to the right to convert the shape we have to a rectngule.

In this post you'll learn how can you draw a ball in simple steps using CorelDraw, we'll use the circle tool (F7) and making the colors using the fountain fill (F11).
First step press F7 or click the circle icon to active the circle tool, start from a point and drag to make the basic shape of the ball, Pressing Ctr while drawing will help you making an equal dimension for the ball.

Double click in the middle of the color bar to create a color point for the basic color, change the color to the red. Select the right color to change the first point to the following value (0, 10, 15, 0), then click OK.

What is overprint.
If you want to make a color separation for a business card with blue background and a yellow text, in that case you'll notice an empty space in Cyan and Meganta color for the yellow text, Yellow color must find a white place to be printed, otherwise it'll not be seen at all.
The same if we have a business card with a yellow background and black text, in the color separation you'll find in the yellow color an empty place for the black text, but what if the black text printed over the yellow card, is there a problem in the final printed card? I don't think so, and this is the overprint option.
Overprint option means that leaving no space in the background color for the over printed color, this option is important to avoid the usual mistakes while printing, when you find small white lines around the black text, when you enable overprint option, then there is no place for a white area in the background at all.
Enable Overprint option in CorelDraw.
It's easy to enable that option in CorelDraw, you can enable it in a spacific obejct by right click the object then choose Overprint from the menu, see the image in the right, enable Overprint to the fill color or to outline color, you have the two options in CorelDraw.
In the separation dialogu box you can choose to overprint all the black colors in the document.

To enable this option in the photoshop, it's enough to change the layer option from Normal to "Muliply", just please note that the layer must include the black color only, any other color in that layer will change the design color and effect the printing process badly.
